Where Did My E-Mail Go?

Years ago, before there were answering machines, people answered their own phones when they received phone calls. As time moved on, the answering machine was created. People could now "screen calls." You did not have to return a call, if you chose not to. If that person, whose call you chose to ignore, happened to get you on the phone, you could easily say that you had never received the call.

The same is true with e-mails today. You have the choice to return the e-mail or not!!

The leader of the book group that I belong to is my first "crazy person." He is always upset that the book club is going to die because there are so few people in it. He sends the monthly schedule of readings by e-mail. Yet, he refuses to respond to any e-mail from the group, claiming that he is too busy!!!!

Recently, I sent him an e-mail explaining that I could not attend the next meeting because of a prior engagement. I asked that the date of the meeting be changed. Did he respond? No!!!!! I sent a second e-mail. You guessed it!!!! I got the same result!! No response. I have since discovered that I can't attend the next 3 discussions. I asked that the dates be changed. I emailed that too!!! You guessed right again! No response!!!

What to do? I guess that I'm no longer in the group.

And this is a person who laments that the group has too few people and worries about how to get more participants!! CRAZY!!!!
